Always be closing!- Blake, Glengarry Glen Ross (1992 film).
David Mamet’s two-act, Pulitzer Prize-winner play. The first act happening inside The Red Dragon, a Chinese restaurant. From the booths to the mahogany wood, the mural of the Dragon on the wall, and the lanterns hanging off the ceiling, the concept of red makes a statement, against its later counterpart in act two: the grey Real Estate agency.

Every piece of furniture inside The Red Dragon has wood applications that were treated to achieve a mahogany look. A wet color blend was done for the grain, and two coats of semi-gloss polyacrylic were applied for the finished step.

Having a similar treatment than other wood applications in the show, the frame had to go through a first coat of sculpt-or-coat to seal the porosity of the foam.

The second act, with it's ironic climax and crude end, happens at the interior of a Real Estate Agency. It's grey color palette, contrasting the red quality of the Chinese restaurant, was emphasized by the incandescent lighting.
