Carving

The two mirrored altars were carved entirely out of foam. The supporting rocks were created by making four solid blocks with 8 pieces of 10”x10”, holding them together with an internal wood rod and green glue. Once dried, the blocks were carved to the shape of live-edged rocks.

Both altars were covered with Sculpt or Coat to seal all the porosities fo the foam.
