Oshidori
A Kwaidan, by Lafcadio Hearn. A ghost tale where a hunter, Sonjo, would have to face the consequences of interfering with spirituality, marital love, and fidelity.
Directed by Thomas Murray

Concept Art
The projected scenery for this shadow puppetry play, about the Japanese notion of marital fidelity and the spiritual world, had to honor its source material.
Inspired by the aesthetic of the Japanese brush paintings, each frame was created using minimal graphic elements, drawn as done by single, continuous ink strokes over rice paper.

Redemption
"Sonjo shaved his head, and became a priest."
